Beat had his first contact with photography while working for the Berne Department of Archaeology. In 2003, he joined Guy Jost Photography Studio as an assistant. Following the completion of many assignments, Beat is now freelance and focuses on editorial/news content from his hometown, Berne. Beat has been a member of the Swiss Press Photographers Association since 2005.

Adrian is a Swiss photojournalist working as chief staff photographer for the newspaper Der Bund and freelancing for agencies and magazines in Switzerland and abroad.

Adrian’s work in photojournalism is the product of a life-long passion for travel and adventure. As a teenager, Adrian left his home in Switzerland to travel the world and see new places and different cultures. Although Adrian did not begin photographing until he was in his mid-twenties, he had gained the background he needed through his travels to become a top-notch photojournalist, now in his mid-fifties.

“Being able to slice out a 125th of a second of the world as it is, is probably one of the most radical interpretations of reality. And still, photography has the reputation to show reality. The tension between these two opposites keeps me fascinated till today.“

Ilya combines a sense of technique with an eye for light and his interest in people. People set against a background of their struggle to find a way in life are frequently the subject of his photos. After his study at the KABK (Royal Academy of Arts) in The Hague, Netherlands, he worked as a trainee for Amnesty International and then settled as an independent. With his series of portraits titled People and Human Rights he won the silver camera award for portraits in 2001.
